My Story

🌅 Trekking the Sahara for Alzheimer’s Society

In October 2026, I’ll be taking on the incredible challenge of trekking across the Sahara Desert — walking for days through scorching heat, endless sand dunes, and star-filled nights — all to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.

This cause is deeply personal to me. My dad was diagnosed with dementia two years ago, and since then, I’ve seen first-hand how this condition changes lives — not just for the person affected, but for the whole family.

I’m proud to be involved locally through Alzheimer's Society Sports and Memory Café at Cardiff Rugby Club, where I’ve met so many amazing people and families navigating the same challenges. The support, understanding, and community that Alzheimer’s Society provides really does make a difference — from funding vital research to offering practical help when it’s needed most.

Every step I take in the Sahara will be for Dad, and for every family touched by dementia.

Your donation — no matter how big or small — will help Alzheimer’s Society continue their crucial work:

đź’™ Funding life-changing research

đź’™ Providing support services for families

đź’™ Campaigning for better care and understanding

Together, we can help make sure no one faces dementia alone.

If you can, please support my trek by donating or sharing this page. Thank you so much for being part of this journey with me.
